Why does the screen go blank or display an error when I hit 'Draw Maps'?
If the applet doesn't load in your browser, then it could be that the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) runtime plugin is either not installed or wrongly configured. Try this browser test, and scroll down to the line: 'Test Your JVM'. If configuration details of your JVM are displayed and the 'Dancing Duke' logo is animated, then you DO have the runtime plugin installed and configured correctly. Otherwise, you will jave to either install or re-configure the plugin. We recommend that you install Sun's Java plugin. For practical help with this, please refer to this installation and configuration advice for the Sun JVM and related applet issues . The 'JRE Help' and 'JRE FAQ' sections cover the specific plugin details for IE, Firefox and other browsers. Please also consult your own local IT Helpdesk or support team, if you encounter any initial difficulty installing the plugin according to Sun's instructions.
My browser has blocked a pop-up page from the ArkDB website, how can I configure my browser to display such pages ?
IE, Firefox, and other browser types, all have their own specfic means of allowing or blocking "pop-ups" according to a user's own criteria.The best way to determine how to allow pop-ups specifically for the ArkDB, or any other website, is to use the 'Help' button at the top of the browser and type 'pop ups' into the 'Search' window.
